| I just want to share that I lost an Aunt this morning. My Aunt Helen, God bless her.......acutally she was one of my Great Aunts, and what a woman she was. So funny, sharp and had a wicked sense of humor. You would have loved her. She was 89......my moms family has quite the longevity. Helen battled Parkinsons for many years and the past 10 or so she became more frail and had to live in an assisted living facility. I could kick myself for not going there last week.......I saw her last about a month ago and though she spoke softly and slowly you could see the spirit in her eyes, she was such a great lady. Helen donated her body to Science.....as did her husband many years ago so there will be no funeral, we will have a memorial next month so that all the friends and family out of State can be here for it. Say a prayer for my mom if you can, she's pretty sad today, Helen was like her mom. Gabbie |

| Gabbie, I am so very sorry to hear your news, but don't feel guilty about not visiting last week, as a very dear friend is fond of saying, "it wasn't meant to be" I am sure you will be a great comfort to your mom over the next hard few weeks. Loki xx | |

| This afternoon my dad's new car finally arrived and we went to pick it up. I was very happy for him 'cause he was like a kid with a new toy and all proud of himself when we left the car place... on the other hand we had to leave there my mom's old car... I can't believe how much it hurts... If I think about it using my brain I know it's stupid to cry over such a little thing, we went through worse times in the past few months....but I'm not used to feel like this: my heart is taking over my brain, my defense... and it's like loosing another piece of her... I can't stop thinking about her on her car, our trips together.... If I really have to find a positive side (kind of hard right now as I'm running out of tissues....) it's that I can finally remember the good, "normal" part of my life with her. Since I lost her, I've been only able to remember the hell we went through since we found out she was sick, and the nightmare of her last month... Sorry ladies to throw all this on you, but I'm home by myself... and this thread looked like the right place to come.... | |

| And it is the right place to come, that's why we have it Luisa, it's for moments such as these, so we can help one another when things overwhelm us, and it's the littlest of things that set us off. I can understand your distress, it's another part, another memory of happier times that is now gone, but hold onto that, the happy times you shared, I am sure it's what your Mom would wish you to remember her by, not the illness, you see, no matter what happens, as long as you keep her and the happy times in your heart, not only is it the best place for her to be, but you can pull those happy times forth at any time you wish. | Thank you Loki, I've been struggling to find those good memories...just like if they were hidden behind the bad ones and out of reach... I guess I'm walking into the right direction :) I dread the moment I will have to go through her drawers and closets....but it's something that MUST be done.... I know it's not her stuff keeping her here... see! I'm trying to listen to my brain now | |

| Its still early days, Lu. You are still getting over the trauma of your Mothers sickness and her passing. When your grief eases, all the good memories will flood back. Please just think of this. Your Mother is still with you...you just can't see her. When your heart settles, you will feel her near | |

| (((Luisa))) I know the pain you are going thru right now...I experienced it when my dad passed. It's still fresh in your mind and what Rebel has said is so very true. In time it will get easier, and you will feel her with you. My dad passed 18 yrs ago and not a day goes by that I don't miss him or talk to him, I know he's with me in spirit. Just know we are here for you to listen any time. |

| 4 years ago, to this very day, my older brother who was 49 at the time, collapsed and died in work, he was dead before he hit the floor, it seemed the arteries to his heart were blocked, non of us, even him was aware there was anything wrong him him. These 4 years have been hard, as his widow, my sister in law hasn't done anything with his ashes, so Mum, my sister and I have always taken flowers the the Park where he was based, where they planted a Welsh Mountain Ash Tree in his memory, and they also placed a bench nearby with a plaque on it, Today has been made easier by the fact she has now arranged to have his ashes interred in the local Cemetary, so at least we will somewhere to go properly now and visit and take flowers. So on Tuesday, I can finally say a proper goodbye to him, and may he rest in peace. | |

| Sidney,
Nothing I can say is going to make you feel better right now at such a tragic loss, I remember when my brother passed, my dad said those words too.
But we are thinking of you and your friends family, and will keep you all in our prayers.
