OK, well, having managed to avoid hearing any of the CD to date as I knew it was going to be a pressie, I sat down earlier to listen with great anticipation due to all the positive comments being posted about it.
Here is what I think after one playthrough:
1) Wicked game: I much prefer the original version, HIM manage to make me believe what they are going to do and sing it with passion. Il Divo's version is, well, diluted, that about the best I can say, I know the guys collectively have amazing voices and I am not ashamed to admit, on their past CD's they have actually moved me to tears, however, this made me want to go to sleep.
2) Crying: I have said it before many times and will say it again, some songs are NOT meant to be copied, this is one of them, I found it positively cringe worthy.
3) Don't cry for me Argentina: Not one of my favorite songs by any means, but I think they made a decent fist of it by and large.
4) Dov'e l'amore: Jury still out on this one.
5) Falling slowly: Again, jury still out.
6) Come what may: Very mediocre.
7) Senza Parole: Didn't like it all all.

Stay: Oh how I wish they had added the other part of the song instead of just the soft bit, as I feel they could have had fun with it, perhaps Carlos singing the other part, right up his street, however, found it booring due to its lack of inclusion.
9) Sempre sempre: Didn't like it.
10) Time to say goodbye: My favorite version of this is by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, I did actually like Il Divo's version, in fact, it is my favorite track on the whole CD
Overall I was rather dissapointed with it, but played enough times, no doubt it shall grow on me....eventually.
Now, I realise most of the 'lurkers' here won't like my comments, but I would rather give an honest opinion than just say what all the psycho's have been, which is how wonderful and marvelous the CD is, it not, if push comes to shove, I will even say it my least favorite of all their work so far.
So sorry guys, that my opinion and I am entitled to it, it don't even begin to flop my mop.
