M.A.I.D. (Men against IL DIVO)

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the founder member and president of M.A.I.D. bowed to immense pressure on Monday evening and attended the concert in Belfast and took his punishment like a man

Brian (aka Mr.B) maintained a dignified demeanour throughout, though it has to be said, he was rather quiet afterwards.

We took pity on him, and escorted him to a very posh establishment, where a short while later, after a drink, his normal equilibrium was restored.

It goes without saying, we are looking forward to reading his report

I would therefore like to award him this and say, WELL DONE THAT MAN!!

I have to second that Loki....Brian was a trooper..... and adjusted to his situation and became one of the girls.... (temporarily of course).....what a laugh we had with him and Mr. Colleen says he takes his hat off to you Brian......your tolerence and bravery is comendable.... he fell about laughing when I told him you went to the show .....he said you are a braver man than him... he also said it was a pleasure to meet you and the only thing that spoiled a good old male bonding experience was us 'chicks'.......I told him to 'Cluck off'....
what a nice guy you are and Madame Ree is a lucky woman you two are well matched.....

Now that I have recovered from the travel and our internet service is
back up, I would like to thank all the wonderful ladies that we had the privilege to meet during our stay.

Many thanks to Karen without whom we might still be wandering the streets of Dublin trying to find our way around. Thanks for watching out for us and taking us under your wing. It is

Colleen, it was great to meet you and the Mr. and I have forgiven you for confusing me with the clown in my siggy. I enjoyed your and the Mr's company during my incarceration in the hotel and had a wonderful time visiting with you both.

Reb, thanks to you as well for keeping an eye on me in Dublin. I really enjoyed the craic and Guinness!
Thank you for your hospitality and it was a pleasure to get to meet
your parents and your lovely children. You are a very kind and gracious
friend and you have a heart as big as the Emerald Isle itself.

Loki, it was great to get to see you and I hope that someday we can come and
visit Wales and see the forest you speak of. Were it not for your
insistence, I would have missed seeing Urs in the flesh and my life
would be the poorer for it. You are the finest pagan I know and I am sorry I ever used the "W" word in your presence.

Bridge, it was wonderful to get to meet you and it is easy to see why you are so
dear to everyone here. You have a great sense of humor and are a
pleasure to be around. Thank you so much for the chocolate, it is divine.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank Sidney for being such a great
friend to Ree and I on our travels together. It was a pleasure to meet
such a wonderful gal as yourself and we were truly blessed to get to
know you. You are a remarkable woman and I am honored to have got to
know you. (luggage that does not kill you, will make you stronger! )

Our trip to Ireland was enriched by each one of you fine ladies and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.


I have tried to come up with an official M.A.I.D. report, but from the
number of men I saw in attendence at the concert, I can only conclude
that I have way more work ahead of me than I previously thought.

I do think I am going to have to market some sort of cheese deflecting
garment for any members who find themselves within 20 rows of the
stage.

It is a shame the Titty Tape shipment failed to make it through customs,
as I could have purchased a few bolts of cheesecloth from the proceeds.

Thanks for your kind words.........and allow me to return the compliaments.... you are a lovely guy and it was great to meet you....I trust our good friend Rebs parents kept you amused and filled up while at her house....aren't thay just great and so welcoming to all who meet them.....too bad karen and i had to return to Dublin before your last night where we could have relaxed with no rushing around getting ready for Il Divos shows....and many thank for you style tips while you sat there while we all titivated in the mirrors....... speaking of titivateing so sorry to hear you've been left with all that t*tty tape.....but not to worry...i hear the new name for the 'pen' it the 't*t-pit'........ unfortunatley most of them are a bit on the saggy side..... (poor Il Divo... ) so maybe you could stand at the enterance to it and flog it there........ I mean these 'girlies' need all the help they can get...... just a suggestion of course...

Last week was one of the best times ever! I was just sorry that Bridie had to return home before Belfast
My parents and children loved you all and are still talking about yew lot. You were very generous with your gifts and I loved seeing everyone squashed into my little kitchen
I'm sorry about my mother mistaking you for a brandy addict I DID explain to her that no-one would think she was mean if she poured standard measures of brandy....and a standard measure doesn't consist of filling a wine glass to the brim I think there is a pic somewhere

Hopefully it won't be too long before we're all sitting around the same table again

I went into this thread to post Anniversary congratulations to our fair Ree and her FAB hubbie on their 19th wedding anniversary celebrations.
Anyone else notice that Ree hasn't been in? Probably too loved up and hasn't the energy to post!!!
So here's to YEW TWO and here's to the next 19 years!!!! You are a wonderful couple and fine parents to your gorgeous children.
