FECK! for instance, Bono, the Edge, Adam, and Larry are big profesionnals, always new songs, always new stages, big crowds everywhere they're earning their money properly (and didn't keep the same suits during ages!! thx no but the Edge is always so HOT)
Exactly Bridge Look at Pink's last tour. The "Funhouse" Tour. Named after her last album . There were a few oldies but goodies, but the show was pretty much all stuff from the new album with new costumes and stage set. Did what it said on the tin!! It sold out around the globe and was one of the biggest tours of 2009/2010..... Now that's the way to tour your "new album" Will be interesting if ID can still sell out 20,000 seater arena's three nights in a row next time around.... My money's on no..... People aren't daft. They're not going to pay to see them sing the same old songs standing on a set of stairs in dinner suits. Been there.... done that!!

| Hello friends Just thought I would stop in a bit and read...have not posted in awhile. I do hope everyone is doing well, only chatted a few on fb recently. If you don't mind me saying something about ID....B O R I N G .... I have not been impressed since the second album...every year it's the same thing, same clothes, same cheesy smiles and jokes...it's really laughable. I am thinking the guys only stay together for the money...easy money. they don't have to work very hard for it. Looks like they rarely rehearse anything. People on the OF who kiss the guys asses are just fools. They had a chance to make it in the US and just blew it....I agree with Ree, they need to change things up, fresh songs that nobody has every heard of...stop doing the stupid freakin remakes....of cheesy awful songs my grandparents didn't even like! Okay I have had my say, honestly if this is not their last tour I will eat my hubbys socks! lol Peeyewww!!! Life if good here, we are having such a hot hot hot summer, no complaints...just wish I could be home to enjoy it more often, work has been so busy, but it pays the bills so I smile on payday Take care all XOXO |

| Hi NY... Long time no see...hope all is well with you. Correct me if I'm wrong but do I take it that most of the members here are not ID fans anymore... just reading back I kinda get that feeling... I have to admit I'm not the 'fan' i used to be.... but it's not really to do with the group itself it's more to do with what follows it around... I enjoy the group and I thnk they are a fabulous talent together....and i'd probably alwayshave an intrest in what they are up to but sadly everytime they visit this country we are invaded by this half wit Divas and being around them is enough to put anyone off....and spoil the show.....they are a travelling bag of spanners... the last time ID performed here the snarls and scowells directed at me and my friends from these 'true fans' was unbelievable....and i don't even know who most of these feckers are... this is probably the last show I'll go to because I'm tired of it all now and I won't be paying money to sit amongst these eejits again...it's like a catch 22 if you get a good seat you are sure to be surrounded by these embarrasing fools squealing up at the stage and doing their best to be noticed but I'm not going to sit down the back either in a show in my own country while the 'foreigners' hog every good seat in the house 'again'.....f**k that.... and what's more ID seem to encourage this band of wagons and their stupid teenybopper behaviour...not my idea of a classy show for what I've always considered a classy group... I watched the chat yesterday and was amused to hear Seb say he didn't like to have knickers thrown at him but he accepted Credit Cards +code or cash....now i'm sure he meant it as a joke....but many a true word is spoken in jest...and I don't really blame these guys for making as much money as possible from the willing sycophants who think everything they do is just eh....AWESOME....it's not a reflection on the shows or the songs that these Divas get practicaly orgasmic at the sight of them it's actually an insult to their talent...they are more intersted in hanging out at venues...stage doors, taking photos and paying for M&Gs than the actual show....some of them say they would pay to hear them sing the phonebook....really....that's pretty insulting to these guys as performers.....in fact I think these guys could just show up and do nothing but stand there posing for photos and the 'true fans' would still pay to see it......and don't these blokes know it.... I read account on the OF where someone said the show was great because it seemed to be full of 'real ID fans' it must be such a relief to them when the 'pretend' ID fans don't show up and spoil things..... Just how lost can you get in a fantasy world....God love them... | |

| Hello Everyone
I'm sorry you're not enjoying Il Divo as you did in the past I too had become a little disillusioned with them but I went to the London Coliseum on 02/08/11 and the show was fantastic. I hope when you see them in Ireland you get a fantastic show too (I'm sure you will).
Colleen, I'm sure you will appreciate Seb's singing as his voice has improved so much and he now holds his own with his operatic colleagues. He was very much the star of the show in my eyes but I am a little biased. They all sang well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I think the choice of music was mostly their more classical pieces to go with the setting of the Coliseum and I always find the balance of voices live better than on the CDs as you can hear each one much better. The new songs were very powerful when you heard them live but I think they should at least compromise and sing part of the songs in English like they do in Time to Say Goodbye. A bit more English would get them a lot more supporters in UK and USA I think as I have lots of friends who think they are great singers but won't buy the CDs because they don't know what they're singing.
A down side of the concert was some of the fans. I went with a friend who had never seen them live before and she was getting really annoyed with people who jumped up in front of us before the songs had ended cheering and clapping she said it spoilt it a little for her as she coudn't see or hear the end of the songs. There were some ladies (and a man) who were carrying on so much at the front they were embarrassing and the knicker throwing just lowers the tone and to me wasn't even amusing.
Anyway as I said it was a fantastic show and those of you going to the concerts in Ireland I hope you enjoy them.
All the best

| Hello Yorkie Glad you checked in and gave us a report- this seems to be the theme- the embarrassing TRUE fans and I agree, the knicker throwing is just uhm........gross As for Seb the voice is really coming along as well as more of the personality- sorry your friend didn't totally enjoy the show- I agree- if you want to act like an ejeet- then go to a show that expects it- that much money to pay for that seat- I would want to see the WHOLE SHOW too. | Greeting, Yorkie, What a shame for your friend, I would be well annoyed too, just goes to show, despite how they try to shut us up, the truth ALWAYS comes out. I cringe when I think of some of these women who behave like this, are my age, or even old enough to be my mother From what I have heard from a few friends, the new tour won't be like what was produced at the Colliseum, so at least that is good I will NEVER like Il Divo singing crying, I don't think anyone who has tried to copy the original does it anywhere near justice, there are some songs that should be left alone, that is one of them. I like Il Divo as much as I ever did, however, just like Colleen, the demented devoted diva's have spoiled it for me too, the majority I want nowt to do with, I have perhaps 7 who I am comfortable with and meet for concerts. As for the rest, I shall continue to wear my kevlar vest to keep the knives outta my back and will continue to support the banned Irish Bar members as I have always done, if they don't like it, they know what the can do, they can feck off. | |

| a bad ID review Il Divo at London Coliseum Lisa Verrico Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard,” said a smiling, suited David Miller, with as much emotion as a man announcing that the next train to Norwich would be leaving from platform four. Still, women screamed at the American tenor who makes up a quarter of Il Divo. Controls were set to “cruise” from the moment that the Coliseum’s curtain rose to reveal the permatanned man band, thirty or so black-clad members of Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra plus conductor, and two sets of steps. Mock Il Divo as much as you like — and heaven knows, it’s hard not to — but the ease with which they tugged at the heart strings of middle-aged women desperate to inject a shot of old-fashioned romance into their lives was impressive. Were you wanting someone to con lonely widows out their life savings, any one of the four would be ideal for the job. A 90-minute set split into two halves was nominally to announce the arrival of Il Divo’s latest album in the early autumn (their fifth in seven years, discounting Christmas and World Cup collections), but this was less of a pop concert than a pompous production in an opulent venue, where tickets cost close to £100. A production of what, was the question. Pop-opera is the tag commonly used to describe Il Divo’s cheesy tunes, but the overwrought rearrangements bore only the barest resemblance to opera, while pop purists would have had palpitations at renamed reworkings such as Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game (Melanconia) and Toni Braxton’s Unbreak my Heart (Regressa a Mi) translated into Italian. The band’s Spanish version of their creator Simon Cowell’s favourite song, Unchained Melody, was full of crashing, faux-classical crescendos and pointedly pointless trips up and down the stairs. Their My Way, sung in English, was more musical theatre, or perhaps pantomime, though they did perform it with the moves of the Eurotrash rat-pack. Yet Il Divo clearly delivered what lots of women wanted — the screaming between songs was deafening and when the Spanish baritone Carlos Marin revealed that he was single and looking for a “lay-dee”, two thirds of the crowd came close to fainting. The four took turns to thank fans for their continued support — Miller suggested that without it they would be auditioning for The X Factor, “if we weren’t so old”. Nonsense, they would be on the cruise ship circuit, winking at wealthy women. http://www.thetimes....icle3112805.ece | |

| Well....In my own humble opinion.....the above review is what a performer gets when they look to their obsessed fans for ideas for the next step in their careers. Never surround yourself with "yes men" (or women) if you want to be successful. Listen to people who have no problem saying "Erm....no, thats played out and you are capable of so much better". The reviewer is representative of the greater ID audience. Ordinary, decent, intelligent people who pay good money and turn up, expecting a great concert. They also have no need to scream, leap from chairs and generally ruin it for others. They just want to hear great music and experience what these undeniably talented men can deliver.....and they CAN deliver.
Il Divo....read the tale of "The Emperors New Clothes". Your stalkers are telling you that everything is fabulous. We're telling you that its not.

| Positive energy, my arse. Try baton rounds and water cannons.....for they have never had a problem using them here. In 1982, at the request of the Government in Dublin, the European Parliment banned plastic bullets throughout the European Union. However, the British government ignored the ban. Eamon Holmes openly questioned, on Sky News, why the use of plastic bullets hasn't happened on the streets of england but have been widely used here for decades?
I can easily tell him why...........

Goodnight New York. Stay safe London. Everyone visualize the end of the rioting. Maybe with enough positive energy...it just might work. Now why didn't the Police think of that.... You know Reb I was watching the news and the complete anarchy that was taking place there and I thought to myself why not use the same tactics they used in Northern Ireland...rubber bullets, water cannons or just beat the living daylights out them....but apperently rubber bullets are dangerous and could kill someone and water cannons can hurl a person quite a distance resulting in injury.....I guess they didn't want to hurt them or kill them.... It was disgusting and frightening just to watch...and now there are a number of people dead and for what...i watched that poor man whose son was killed talking on the news and pleading with people to stop....my heart went out to him...also the poor teenager who seemed to have been beaten and whilst pretending to help him the thugs stole everything from his back pack....what kind of heartless animals would do that to a young lad and can you imagine his fear to be surrounded by a mob of thugs....such vicious inhumanity...really disgusting.

It would take a person to have a hard heart, not to be moved by that poor man. Every parents nightmare....to be burying a child. It wasn't even a "clean death" as we call it here. No illness or unavoidable accident. Just mown down in the street There are serious social issues needed to be addressed here. Lessons in accountability and breakdown in values. "Honour" is an outdated word now, it seems............... As for David Millar and his "positive energy"? What the hell is he on? Personally I thought Davids 'positive enrgy' statement was a bit frivilous considering the severity of the situation....but if that's how he thinks....wellll.... I'm sure postiive energy and thinking has it's benefits....but when lawless thugs are running wild maybe a little less conversation and a little more action works better....
